Help?

Writing every day is starting to become more of a challenge. I feel like I'm running out of things to talk about now, even though I worked today. It probably doesn't help that I literally only sat 18 tables as a hostess today, if my math is correct. (It's probably not but it was less than 25 so yeah.) Not much happened at work and that's what I've been doing lately, unless I've been trying to sleep.

I guess I'll just ask all of ya'll for help.

When I become a server (and maybe in a few weeks, I don't know), I'll be working a lot of split shifts which means I'll be sitting on my ass with nothing to do in between rushes. Since I don't have a car (or a license), that means I have to rely on people as a ride. It's also twenty-thirty minutes away (depending on traffic) so it's not worth the gas to just go back and forth. I don't mind that at all, but that means I'll be bored.

I lost my book collection when we moved a few years ago so I've been trying to restart it. This is where you guys come in. When my laptop got a virus, the list of books that I wanted to check out was deleted by the dude who was fixing my laptop. So, I want you guys (I know ya'll like reading since you're reading my blog) to suggest different blogs for me to read and I want you guys to suggest books for me to read.

I'm not very picky about books. I don't like strong science fiction or end of the world type things. I fucking hate romance novels. Other than that, you guys can basically suggest anything. I've already read and love Harry Potter and I've already read and like The Hunger Games (which surprised me because of the genre). So yeah... Help?

    1. I won't mind it too much because I'll be getting paid for it, but I don't have many hours now and that's my main issue. Thanks though! I've heard that's a good series.

  2. E-books or actual physical books? I love my tablet for reading kindle books. So nice to not have to remember to return books to the library. Most of the books I download are free too.

    1. Well, for now it would have to be physical books. I don't have a kindle or an ereader or anything, and I can't take my laptop with me. I would like to get one but I just don't have the money. If you want, you can suggest both and I can get the ebooks when I have something to read them on. haha

  3. I still love real books and still have no e-reader. You might like the Anne Rice Mayfair Witch series (or the vampire ones but those are more commercialized)

    1. I kind of laughed hysterically at that. I literally ordered The Witching Hour for my mom yesterday, because it's her favorite book but it was in pretty bad condition. I've tried to read it before and it gave me a bunch of weird dreams, but I'm probably going to give it another try. (=

  4. I love real books too :)
    A couple suggestions:
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie
    Zeitoun, by Dave Eggers
Mighty Be Our Powers, by Leymah Gbowee

  6. Check out the Sookie Stackhouse books. It is the book series the HBO show True Blood is based on.

    1. I've heard that is supposed to be a really good TV series but I've never watched it. Maybe the books will be even better because of that. haha Thank you!
