The Surprise?

Remember how I said every other Monday would be a new style of post? Well, here it is.

I realized basically all my written posts ended up like, "Hey, I'm not dead yet, here's a weird thing that happened" because I didn't have time to write anything else. And it felt weird to do super important or thoughtful posts when I was disappearing for weeks on end.

So I decided to vlog, cut it together with an app, and post it here? We'll see how this goes.

I expect only the nicest comments because it took me an HOUR to find the video on YouTube so that I could use it. The blog email and the YouTube email aren't the same, nor are they connected. It took me longer to find the damn thing than it did to make it, cut it together, save it, and upload it. Combined.

  1. Yay! You finally got it figured out and posted! Good job. Now everyone can see your fun walking videos you've sent me, ha ha :) They turned out well, can't wait to see what you do going forward :)

    1. Well, about 30-60 seconds per clip which I can easily do while walking to work. Then all I have to do is click all of them and the phone does the work of saving them, while I can do other things (eat, work, clean, sleep) and then uploading to YouTube which I only have to select. Again, while that loads, I can do plenty of other things. All in all, it took me about 10 minutes of work and then another five to write the post. My only problem was finding the video on YouTube to connect it, but now I know how. When I write a post, it usually takes half an hour or more. Way more if it's a thoughtful post.

  4. I'm sorry, but I laughed as you became more and more ill. You just look so pitiful. I also enjoyed the story about the woman trying on all the shoes and complaining about them. You are so cute.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Haha I am very pitiful when I get sick. But being pitiful helps because I get sympathy and sympathy usually means food. I am all about food!

      Love,
      Rachel

  5. I thought with each day progressing and you getting more and more sick, it was going to end with you turning into a zombie. What a disappointing ending.

Okay, I'm kidding. Most vlogs are just people sitting at their desks. I like the whole walking and talking thing. AND you managed to do so without obnoxious wind noise. I'd call that a huge success.

    1. I may be a zombie yet. I now have food poisoning. Or my body only wants brains and is rejecting all human food. I guess we'll find out.

I think that was pure luck about the wind. I hate that noise though so when picking which videos to use, I would avoid the obnoxiously loud ones.

  6. I cant see the video because I have a really awful phone, but I think it is a great idea!!! I can not wait to watch it. I could totally see me doing the same thing and not be able to post it because I am awful with technology. Haha
